Gonna be tough!

As with 1968, the enraged rhetoric from both sides is going to make this a tough election year.  Had former president Trump not turned his head while speaking, that shot would have taken him in the ear and brain.  Sadly, this “shot heard round the world” should never have been fired.  The Secret Service screwed up big time, possibly because Mayorkas refused repeated requests for more agents for the event.  Gonna be a tough year.

Lets mobilize the mindless masses to attack the tool, not the user of the tool.  The search is on to find something to blame this on other than the individual.  Like a lot of what is wrong in today's society, there must be a reason to place blame other than a persons free choices (or so we are led to believe). 

How anybody got to within 140 yards of the event, much less the stage is unimaginable.  I looked around last time I saw him in person and there were riflemen on every rooftop nearby.  At least this scare may up the level of protection to prevent another attempt.  Without rushing to too much judgement, people may need to lose their jobs publicly over this lapse, not allowed to quietly retire.

Gun show in central Texas had reasonable prices on ARs yesterday.  Thinking about going back this morning to see if the next panic has set in yet.

(Not only reason to go back, got a great deal on some .270 Weatherby brass yesterday, guy said he'd bring some more today.)
