Having a gun in your hand is much more effective than having the entire police department on the phone!

Interesting concept.

Lot of discussion on the internet as to whether or not a convicted felon could own this.  Since it's not considered a 'firearm' by the ATF.

I might be interested in one, as I like unusual things, but would probably get a Pedersoli Howdah first.

Now if you want a double barrel, black powder pistol you can carry concealed, Czechgun has their Gladiator 500.

Silly item and not necessary, IMHO.

Is that opinion based on the fact you live in the USA and not in Europe where getting a gun for self protection is significantly harder if not impossible, and this one bypasses a lot of the restrictions allowing most to carry it?  Don't see it making a splash in the US market, but for some in need overseas it could be the answer.

I was talking to a doctor from Mexico City who owns a gun in .357 Sig He said that the rules against certain "military" calibers such as .45 ACP and 9 mm were written before the existence of the .357 Sig so it is legal to own by implication of omission because it is not specifically banned.

Tracker that man got lucky, or has the right connections.

There is only one legal gun store in all of Mexico (Dirección de Comercialización de Armamento y Municiones – DCAM) and it's run by the Army on a military base.  It takes months and a lot of special circumstances for the government to allow a civilian to own any firearm in that country.

He is well connected and I doubt that he bought his pistol at DCAM.

No Mike, that opinion is based on me only, personally, not for other people who may have or see a need for it. I'm just saying. . . . For Me. . . . I wouldn't own one. That's all. Not my cup of tea.

Got ya ECR.

Just pointing out that for a lot of folks owning a proper firearm for self defense is not an option, and this unique item may fill the void.

This, if it has good sales and is successful in Europe, it might cause the bureaucrats at the EU to change their law closing the loop hole.

I like ideas that think outside the norm to circumvent the norm.

Absolutely no doubt about that.  Heck, in UK pocket knives are becoming restricted.
