I tend to think of it as the R380 with a slide stop and side mag release buttons, is that not the case?

That is their idea but I would be hard put to place the R380 and a Remington pistol in similar camps. That would be like comparing a Porsche Cayman to a Trabant.

Well, yes. . . . That's the idea. Fit and finish is yet to be seen and examined by the public. Time will tell all.

Wont be buying one of these. I have a Rohrbaugh,....what use would I have for a Remington?   :P

For a delta price difference of ~$800 between the RM380 and the R380 one of the selling parties must have the price wrong if they are otherwise "comparable." Of course, the original issue, collectibility, and scarcity will always command a premium.
