Reliability trumps all
I traded my LC9 for a SW 5913 --- the Ruger was plastic crap, but always worked. The SW 5913 is engineering and design it it's best form. The SW started jamming, and the love is lost.
Most issues are particular to the gun (Seecamp = ammo). These are all carry-guns, and they had better work. I has a $1000 browning hipower start hiccuping, and I almost threw it in the dumpster. Right now I am using a Seecamp 32, a Sig 232, and a SW Airlight, and every one of them has been at the factory twice.
My car guns are a Sig 226, a Browning Hi Power, and a Kimber Ultra. An undependable gun is worthless.
