This is good enough for me at 21 feet.

To me this shows that it is more than a gut gun.

Great shooting; that should be good enough for anybody at 21 ft. with an R9.

4 rounds through the cardiac ventricles, one through the upper vena cava and one through the pulmonary artery...all 4 fatal injuries...pretty darn good shootin'!

I purchased a Rohrbaugh R9S Stealth about a year ago after wanting one for years. Previous gun was a seecamp .32 which it replaced. I've carried it and shot about 250rnds through it and I'm just not sold.

I do not consider myself a sharpshooter but at 7 and 15 yards, my groupings are awful. Have experimented with several types of ammo and with. Farman reliability has been so so.  It beats my hand up pretty good and my wife won't event shoot it. I understand it's essentially a "gut gun" and not a sub MOA rifle but I've never shot so poorly with a gun before.

I also sometimes carry a S&W snubby and find myself grabbing that instead of the Rohrbaugh for pocket carry most of the time.

I guess what I'm saying is should I give it another try and keep her or sell off.  Just sort of let down on her after carry and use :(

As being someone who sold their R9 and purchased another one later I can offer this advice. It is not my main EDC gun, but I still like the gun very much for two reasons.

1. It is probably the best BACKUP gun out there.

2. As a main carry gun, you really can't beat the caliber to weight/size ratio of the R9. So it is still good for many situations where you want more than a .380 P3AT, but don't want to carry a heavier 9mm in your pocket.

That is why I missed the R9 I sold and purchased another one to replace it.

I just joined this forum and have an R9 I just purchased and also a Boberg XR9S. I love my Boberg and looks like the R9 would also be a keeper after I find mag extension to ease the recoil. You might check the Boberg also! I am awaiting the .45 acp Boberg is coming out with! Hope I don't ruffle any feathers with this reply.
