Non- traditional training
« on: November 19, 2013, 02:19:59 PM »
I had an injury and had to go through rehab.  As part of the therapy I had to stand on one leg for at least 60 seconds without touching anything (repeating other leg). Then repeat with my eyes closed. This was much harder. The purpose as explained to me was this would involve lower nerve control centers. I would stand at the kitchen sink looking out the window. As I was doing my exercise I started to wonder how or if this would improve my shooting form. I have been working with this using a blue gun. I going to try live fire training at my private range. I can feel every movement with my eyes closed. I’m not sure where this will lead. It just seems interesting to me.

Thanks Jack, I think these are viable and valuable training exercises.

I have air gunned these in the past, but don't know why I never took it to the next step and used live ammo. I will try that in the months ahead after my up coming shoulder surgery.
