If the right side of the frame has a cut out for the trigger bar. I would think they could make that same cut out on the other side of the frame. It would shave a little bit of weight off of the gun and I'm assuming it doesn't weaken it structurally since that cut out exists on the right side.

I'm not sure if anyone is listening, but this is a good time to make such suggestions. I am sure there will be some changes to the new R-9 before they start rolling off of Remington's CNC machines late this summer.

I thought of making slots to insert a T-nut for the grip screws instead of the grip screws screwing directly into the frame.
Something similar to a T-nut -or any way of holding a nut in place, with a tiny lock washer would work better than having the screws go directly into Aluminum
