Rohrbaugh R9 & R9S Pistols / Serial Numbers: R170 & R270 For Sale: Two very special guns, being sold as a “matching pair.” This is an R9 (without sights), serial number R270 and an R9S (with sights), serial number R170.
However, these guns are also a special part of Rohrbaugh history. These are the guns featured in the Sept/Oct 2004 “American Handgunner” Magazine on the front cover and centerfold spread. This was the first magazine review of the new Rohrbaugh pistols, and was written by well-known gunwriter Roy Huntington.
Sale includes an original copy of the magazine. In fact, the front cover of this magazine shows it to be Karl Rohrbaugh’s personal copy of the magazine as he was receiving it as a subscription at the time!
The article is a great review of the R9, with a special bonus -- Roy Huntington to surprised Karl’s mom by including a photo Eric Rohrbaugh took of her and Karl at the range testing the R9 pistols. She was 76 years old at the time of that photo; she will be 85 next week and still is involved at the shop from time to time.
These R9s were also shot by Champion Shooter Mickey Fowler in the article.
Both pistols are in excellent condition and have been factory serviced. The regular lifetime warranty will apply to this sale.
