trigger bar slipping off hammer
« on: March 16, 2013, 05:34:11 PM »
Hello everyone,

I wanted to post some info in the hopes it would help someone out. I started to experience my trigger bar slipping from the hammer with my grip pannels tight. I have a hard chrome checkerd R9 with CF grips that has always ran well. Recently the trigger bar started to slip and I couldn't get anything to prevent it from slipping. After a call to Rohrbaugh I decided to swap the sear spring and trigger bar. The cost was 7.00 and after installing them everything worked perfectly. So consider that as part of maintenance of your R9

Thanks

GS:

When the Rohrbaugh R9 leaves the factory after being assembled and tested by Karl and Eric, it is is as near to being a custom-built pistol as one can get from production runs, The simplicity of the trigger bar spring assembly being positioned under the right-side grip panel is one of the ingenious designs Karl conceived to give us the lightest and smallest pistol yet made for the 9mm Parabellum cartridge. Your experience in the ease and low cost of replacing that assembly after extended use demonstrates the brilliance of its design.

Thank you for sharing that experience.
