Second owner and have a cracked slide R9s

I'm pretty sure I have a hairline crack forming on the right side leading to a inside corner of the slide. I wish it was a scratch
Anyways since I'm out of luck on warranting it as I'm not the original owner, what would be your guys recommendation? Will Rohrbaugh still work on it buy charge me? Can I buy a new slide? Or just sell the fancy grips and magazines and get a kel tec? (har har)
I've put a little less than 500 rounds through it and the guy before me put about 1500'ish. Sad this thing hasn't lasted forever.

Welcome to the forum Numbers.

Sorry for your problem.  However, I would not fear for the worst. You never know.  Many times gun companies still stand behind thier work as long as the gun doe not look like a beater. 

I would gamble the shipping fee and send it in and see what they have to say.  You may just be surprised.

I can't speak for the factory but I recall a very similar circumstance to yours and the problem was resolved to the owner's satisfaction. At that time a cracked slide did not fall within the normal constraints of the original buyer's warranty restriction.

The same thing happened to me about a year or two ago. I bought an earlier (SN 8**) R9S off a forum member and I noticed a small crack at the rear on my second outing. If I recall correctly, there was a small batch of slides several years ago that were more prone to cracking. Even though I was the second owner, they replaced my slide for free. Don't worry, just give Maria a call and let her know. They're good people and will take care of you.
