Thank you good Sirs. Not only do I feel it is my duty to be proficient with my gun, it is also lots of fun to shoot them!
Yes, the 2nd gun, while a great idea in theory, will not happen for me any time soon. If the R9 was a few hundred dollar cheaper, I would pony up the cash for another one. That's one of the nice things about the KelTec pistols - cheap enough to buy a few for the cost of a R9, but nowhere near the level of out-of-the-box quality. Had to spend a number of hours doing a "fluff-n-buff" on my P-32 to get it to a decent level of smoothness I liked.
I hope that I or any of you guys never have to draw your guns in defense, but if I do, I want the bad guy to run away so I don't have to shoot and potentially lose my R9.
