Ryan:
My R9 No. 132 (with sights) was delivered in May 2004 along with two documents: (1) an introductory folding flyer (one piece of card stock folded to produce four pages) containing the pistol's specifications, a general description of its design, and the contact information for Rohrbaugh Firearms; and (2) an unnumbered 16-page document (counting front and back covers) entitled "Operating Instructions and Safety Precautions for your Rohrbaugh R9-R9s 9mm Pistol." The front cover of both documents contains photographs of two R9 pistols -- one of "R9s" No. 223 with a silver-colored frame, and the other of "R9" No. 221 with the same plum-colored frame as my own No. 132. In the photographs, both pistols appear to have blue carbon fiber grips, although the blue in the grips is difficult to discern. The "Operating Instuctions and Safety Precautions" manual contains disassembly, maintenance, and assembly instructions on page 12 (again counting the cover) and the inside of the back cover contains an exploded parts diagram and seven photographs of cleaning and disassembly instructions. Both documents were professionally printed. There was no "folded white piece of paper with takedown/lube instructions photocopied on it."
I hope all of this is of some help to you in your research.
