Range trip today with the R9 and the Boberg. Tried aimed fire from 25 yards with both from a rest (my range bag...forgot to bring the tripod). Boberg's long trigger pull resulted in most shots going low...I just couldn't keep the barrel from dropping at the end of the pull. My first range trip using a perp target from 8 yards with standing Weaver stance relatively rapid fire the pistol was scarily accurate. I went back to visualizing the target and putting the front site on it and at 25 and 10 yards accuracy improved markedly but still with flyers with rapid fire.
Interestingly, I also shot the R9 Covert from the 25 yard rest and it was more accurate than the BB, but perhaps a little less effective at 8 yards rapid fire off the front site. Used Lawman, gold dots (124), silvertips in both and a few Golden Sabres in the BB....no issues of any sort with any of the ammo.
I obviously need to keep practicing with both, and will definitely need get used to the Boberg trigger pull for aimed fire...it just seems to do better with a quick trigger pull than with a deliberate slow fire, at least for me.
Both pistols have been getting cleaned with EEZOX after range trips and I must say I'm really impressed with both the cleaning power and the effective lubrication of the weapon after cleaning. It also works great with the Seecamp, which is off to the engravers and out of the rotation for now.
