I looked at new Smith 41...the fit and finish sure was not what it used to be..............What would you buy?

I've got a "new" Model 41.  It's got less than 3000 rounds through it but it has been 100% perfect.  No hiccups.  It's only seen CCI Standard Velocity and it's been so reliable, and accurate, that I don't ever feed it anything else.

Now, having said that, I shoot my Browning Buck Mark just as well, and find it to be every bit as accurate, and reliable, as the Model 41 and it's a heck of a lot less expensive.  So, if you want something just to get you back in the game, to see if you'll continue, without spending a lot of $, I'd opt for a Browning Buck Mark or Ruger Mark III.  (I'm a Browning guy.)   ;)

Richard S has seen this one before, but seems appropriate to this hi-jacked thread...

A photograph such as that should not be described as a "hijack" but as an enhancement.   8)
