Changing colors
« on: December 04, 2011, 08:16:15 PM »
Duane, can you, or one of the other forum members tell me how I can change the screen colors? This pale blue is hard on my tired old eyes.     Thanks, Gene

Please, can't someone help me with this? Or am I doomed to wander endlessly thru this pale blue wilderness til I die of pastel poisoning?         Gene

Gene.  Corey had the same problem with the blue.  Here's what he found and changed his.

CWC -- thanks for the input.  The comments I have received publicly and privately overwhelmingly support the new color scheme as more readable...  However, I think if you dig into the options at the top you can actually change the colors you see on your end.

I found this under HELP but I think its somthing you have to set up on your end first to allow us to do our own theme.  Or at least thats the way I read it.  It's no biggie but don't but if you do let me know and i'll check it out.  Thanks

Theming and Templating
Ability to allow or disallow your users to select their own theme.
Ability to reset all of your members to a certain theme.
Ability to install a new theme via your administration center.

I enabled that option -- you can give it a try.

That was VERY easy!  Thanks DD, now I can SEE;D

I dunno Yank. I did like it at first, but the more time I spend seeing the lighter colors the less I liked them. I can live with it no problem, but I perfer the darker shades.      Gene

From what I saw in that section there is nothing to make a color change with. :(

If someone does get hold of Corey would you ask him to post the info so all us illiterates can read it? There seems to be several of us who are having trouble.        Thanks, Gene

Under your profile pick
-modify profile
-look and layout
-current theme (change)
-gray style by skin-box

see if you like it that way.

GOT IT!!!, thanks corey, I don't know what we'd do without you. I like the grey... it looks like primer, if I get tired of it I'll just paint over it. ;)  Thanks again           Gene
