the Freedom Group

Recently, I have seen some e-mail forwards about the Freedom Group which is owned by CERBERUS Capital Management, a private investment company. There have been allegations that George Soros was behind the financial structure. Apparently, that is not the case but the Freedom Group now owns Bushmaster, Remington, DPMS, Marlin Firearms, including H&R; L.C. Smith; and Dakota Arms. They also own S&K industries, Advanced Armament Corporation, and Barnes Bullets.
The following article from today's N.Y. Times describes the company and its far reach in some detail.

Good stuff Tracker. Another conspiracy story seems to be shot down while people with big money are very interested in making more money. Although it can make one a bit uneasy having so much of a critical industry under one roof so to speak.
