Thanks again everybody.
From my several years of German many, many years ago at the University of Houston (MS in 1959), I wanted to say Roar-Bahh. But some clerk at a gun shop told it was Roar-Bow. My tongue fought me all the way when I tried to say it like that. However, many old country names got twisted around either intentionally or by the accidents of local pronunciation, so I was ready to accept it if I had to.
Roar-Bahh feels so much more natural, and for that I am very grateful.
My name, Borg-Man, is pronounced pretty much as it is spelled, with no pairs of adjoining vowels or silent g's to twist ones tongue around.
By the way, my local Firearms Dealer is supposed to get my R9s in tomorrow (November 16), so I should have it soon!
Best Wishes,
Leon Borgman
