Craig.  Thanks for the update.  You'll figure out the sighting.  Glad your R9 is home.

Oh wow, I can’t believe it has been this long since last shooting the R9.  Sorry for the long delay.

First off, I need to correct my last post.  I did not shoot 91 rounds in one range session.  Ouch.  I must have been so giddy that there were no failures…  Here is what I really shot:

3 mags Speer Gold Dot 115gr
3 mags Speer Gold Dot 124 gr
1 mag Remington Golden Saber 147gr

As for the range session 2 nights ago, 41 rounds, zero failures (Speer Gold Dot 115gr & 124 gr).  Now it has a total of 89 (or 92 if I include the 3 that the factory shot) rounds since returning from the factory with no failures (one bad primer).  I now, for the first time, feel comfortable carrying it.

Before this last range session, I thoroughly cleaned it and used Eezox dry lube instead of the grease and oil I had been using.  It seemed to work perfectly.  Eezox will be my new lube (smells a lot better than Ballistol!).

Yep, that is another smile.

Craig.  Great to hear of your last range session.  Amazing what a good range outing will do for one's ego and I mean that in a good way.

Good stuff, that Eezox and I like the smell too.  Wife doesn't even mind me cleaning guns now.    :)
