Here is a small pile of the tools. I will ship on Tuesday, thought I could do it Monday but something came up.

John, am I seeing things or are only some the tools tapered and notched?     Gene

Gene,
They are all tapered and notched, some are on edge, so you don't see the taper or notch. I'll make sure yours has both the taper and the notch.

John,

I'm a brand new member here as of this morning and this is a heck of a way for me to make my first post but I believe your Takedown Tool maybe just what I need.

I purchased my first R9 last Friday and am going to shoot it this afternoon for the first time.  Over the past few days however I've struggled big time not taking it apart but getting it back together.  The barrel pin was virtually impossible to get back on.  Fortunately I have a forum friend who lives close by that has a similar tool and after some struggle we got the gun back together.

I will post a range report with some other thoughts when I get back.

I will send you an email now with my name and address and hopefully I can purchase one of those great looking tools.

Thanks,

  Doug

Doug-2.  Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on the R9.  Excellent decision on the little wonder.  Again, welcome.

John, I saw that after I posted. It was an easy mistake to make. Anyone who was dumb enough could have made it. It was the culmination of years of hard work that enabled me to do it. Well, back to practicing. Stupid ain't easy.     Gene

Gene,
If thats your stupidest, it's not very good. I can beat that without even trying, and that's when I'm having a good day. ;D
