The shipment must have been all spoken for because it was depleted when I called to order on January 7th.  Corbon added it to their on-line catalog on Wednesday and I was able to order directly from them.  Same price as offered by Rohrbaugh.

New to the forum...Hello all. Came across site trying to search any familiar experiences with different loads because I was not doing to good with consistency  of firing.
Thank god I found this place:)
Anyway, just got my R9S this past xmas. Love it. Though, first couple times at the range had a 40% failure with a Lell & Bell range crap 115grs. I would literally need to pull 2-3 times to get her to fire. Thought my R9 was malfunctioning. Until I found this forum did not know much about the specific load recommendations from rohrbaugh. So just wanted to post my experiences with these rounds. But, when I threw my carrying Gold Dot 124grs I had NO PROBLEMS. I plan on getting some CarBons for my carrying but would still like to try a few different loads for at least a cheaper range round.

Any suggestions on less expensive range rounds?.

Karl Rohrbaugh recommended Federal's American Eagle, standard pressure, for range use.

So went back to the range yesterday.

PMC 115 was their range round..that day. I also got a box of american eagle standard pressure.
Fired 5 mags of 5 of the PMC's...No problems. Took a break shot my buddies FN 5.7mm, wow what a gun. About 30 minutes later shot one more mag of 5 PMC's, 3 didnt fire... :'(

Put the American Eagles in and shot only 2-3 mags, but with no problems..

Gold Dot 115 and WWB 115 are proven in the R9.

Add Winchester SXZ training ammo as well.  This is only sold in Bass Pro Shop, but it is just as inexpensive as WWB and it has the same profile as a hollowpoint, but with a flat front.

kand-corp:

First of all, welcome to the Forum!

The R9, being the smallest and lightest handgun chambered for 9mm Luger, is necessarily built to tight tolerances. Feed it the proven brands of quality ammunition, keep it clean and well-lubricated, and let it cool down a bit between strings of fire during range sessions and it should prove to be flawless for you. This pistol, in my considered opinion after carrying No. 132 since May 2004, is quite simply the finest pocket pistol yet produced.

Welcome again, good luck, and stay safe.
