Even My GF Can Shoot The R9 Range Report
« on: June 08, 2008, 04:20:33 AM »
I spent the afternoon at the gun range with my Gf Jody.
After 221 rounds on the original spring, not one failure with my R9. I'm getting better shooting the little beast and so is Jody. I'm 1st posting photos of me and my targets, 4 R9 and 1 Glock 40 @ 25ft. Then I'll post pics of Jody and her 3 targets, 1 with a Kel Tec .380 & 2 with the R9. BTW this is the 3rd time Jody has ever shot any firearm. She has been doing great and is proof this gun is very accurate for what it is.

Here's the 4 with my R9, I get better as we go.

Here's a nice group with my Glock 27 and an extended clip.

Here's the Jody collection, BTW she also helped me clean my guns and was doing my laundry and made me a nice cup of tea to boot. No you can't have her.  ;D

Here's her shots at 15ft with the Kel Tec .380.

Here's the 2 R9 targets at 15 ft, the 1st one she only hit 5, the 2nd she made all 6. Watch out BG's.  ;D

Thanks, it is more fun with a cute shooting buddy.

BTW to all you shooting gurus, Is it better to hold the gun closer or extend further, to get good shot placement?
If right handed should right arm always be locked out?
Thanks
Les

I'm not a shooting guru but I do think your stance could use some improvement.
I usually use a modified Weaver stance but sometimes an isoseles stance. These are the two most common stances and in both cases the arm holding the gun is locked straight or close to straight.
Here's a link that illustrates.

Wow!!, Thanks Harrydog, I liked all the tips at that training site. I'll use them at the next shoot.
