Ammo

Just bought a Rohrbaugh today. What standard pressure ammo is most recommended?

Silvertip 115gr? Golden Saber 124gr? How about PMC's 90gr load?

Welcome!!!

STHPs are good as is Speer 115 GDHPs and 115 Winchester White Box for the range. Let us know how your first range trip goes. Other ammos prolly work well also, but my Pup has been perfect with the Speer and WWB.

Well, I stepped outside and shot off a few rounds to check 'er out. Spunky little critter for sure!

I was thinking about either 115gr Silvertips or PMC's 95gr Starfire load. The latter would be like a .380 on steroids but what do you all think?

ABNAK,

Welcome to the forum!!

Glad to have a new pup owner..

RickP,pretty much says it all for most.. ;)

I shoot nothing but those same loads in my pups..

I think we can throw Winchester Silvertip 115 gr. in the
desired carry ammo; that is what Karl R. recommends and
I have tried it successfully, too.

ABNAK,

Shooting 9mm in lower bullet weights in NOT neutering the 9 to a 380 level.  Everyone seems to forget that with lower bullet weights bullet velocity increases.

ABNAK:

Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on acquiring your R9.

If you haven't reviewed the ammunition test data which Chris posted on his R9 FAQ site, you may find it of interest:
