Help!  FTF want to see.
« on: March 29, 2008, 01:46:04 PM »
Greetings.  Another new forum member, Click177,  and I are contemplating the purchase of R9's.  Problem is...none of our local gun shops are dealers and we've never seen one up close and personal.  Seeing how we're both GA pilots, we are willing to fly to a GA airport near you just to see and hold one.  We can also rent a car and drive a short distance if you do not wish to meet at an airport. If you have a range nearby and would let us try a round or two we would be happy to treat you to a breakfast, lunch or dinner as appropriate and replace your ammo.  Even be willing to take you for a local flight.  The area we can travel is Eastern PA, NJ, MD, VA, WV and lower NY state.  Trying to stay out of the NYC metro area.  Thanks!  :D

I have a R9s for sale (see classified area).  Can you get to Cincinnati.  If you can I might be willing to accomodate you, if the pistol does not sell first.

Big_Smitty.   Thanks but that measures out to about 500 miles.  A little farther then we wanted to travel.  Avgas is about $5.00/gal.  Good luck with your sale.

I agree......I'm going to be one of them, too.......very soon I hope!

After what I have learned about the Rohrbaugh bunch.....customer satisfaction is their foremost concern and I have no doubt that I will be EXTREMELY satisfied.  :)

It just takes a great deal of trust and a sense of adventure to get one sight unseen. Most of us have done that. Tom

What would be the cost to fly to a location within reasonable distance, pay for ammo and buy a gentleman lunch?

You 2 gentleman could agree to the following:

Buy an R9.

Both give it a test drive.

If 1 likes it and the other dislikes, then sell for cost to other.

If both like it, the other buy one too.

If both hate it, sell and I bet you will lose less than the cost of AV gas, ammo and dinner.  Split the loss and call it research costs.

Good luck but do a reasonable cost benefit analysis prior to making decisions.

Thought that is what we were trying to do, ehh? :-/

Anyway, great out of the box ideas on how to meet our goals!
Thanks,
