I know high end guns can be somewhat fussy but my R9S has operated flawlessly since going back for a minor "tune up" after a rough start. My R9S only eats speer 115 Gr. Gold Dot. Fires 500/500 times with that ammo. Tries (for kicks) Hornady 124 gr. 4/8 rounds FTF!. Saw the dealer and he explained that his ammo was perfect and he won't address issues with "garbage guns" that fail to fire. I looked at the FTF rounds and there's a pretty good dent in that casing center. Lousy gun or lousy ammo?
