Thanks Eric. I finally did it!!

I think I'll look into coating the pup. I use to do it on some of the 1911s I built back in the early 80s. Not sure the chemical/paint is still sold, but it was/is extremely durable.

I recently came upon a compensated caspian I built and coated in 83 and it looked pretty darn good. The coat, a semi-flat black, showed no signs of chipping. Just a little coat wear on the rails,..but expected.

Hey Jimmy...   :o :o :o :o :o   Sorry, I just had a "Flash" of someone "Spray Painting" an R9s...
Now that I've caught my breath again..; Please post pics should you decide to actually do so..!     ;D ;)

los - I noticed you said "A few leather holsters..."  That, my friend is obviously & simply too many...  Not to worry though, I'll send you my address later & you can send me the excess items...  Glad I can help yah out w/ that horrible "Overage" situation!!!    ;D
I should be receiving 6 holsters for the 9S as part of the Trade package. They'll vary from a few IWB models to a few OWB models.

The Kit I use to purchase had a paint or type of coat that had to be sprayed-on on metal parts after being oven heated for about 15-20 minutes at 220 degree. It actually worked pretty well. The Kit included all the items needed to complete about 20 guns. I remember paying about 60 bucks for the kit back in the early 80s. It was sold out of San Antonio.

I did a search last night for same or similiar products and couldn't locate anything sold for a do-it-yourself project. :(

Hello Tom. The Ultra Carry was traded for a R9S package deal. Only things left to "sell" is a set of Novak Lo-Mount Tritium Nite Sights, a Milt Sparks Single Mag Pouch and a Custom made hi-ride Holster being made by HBE Leather (Eric Larsen) which I shoud get delivered in about a week.

I'll be posting the items for sale on 1911forum and thefiringline forum a little later.

Thanks for asking.

R553 was bought new by me from a dealer in Memphis on 8/31/2005.  The dealer stated to me at the time of purchase that they had received it in the store about two to three weeks prior to me buying it.  I did not order it.  I was in shopping for a Kahr and remembered reading about the R9 online and purchased it immediately once I saw it in the case.
Respectfully,
Jim

Thanks for the info. Would you happen to know the average amount of weapons Rohrbaugh manufactures on a weekly basis.

My guess is around 12-14 per week???

Hello Dave. Thanks for link. Chris really has an abundance of useful information on his site!! Then again, knowing just a little bit about him,..it doesn't really surprise me.

Thanks again for your guidance.
