Have any of your wives fired a 380?
« on: December 08, 2009, 08:31:13 AM »
I am thinking of getting my wife her own Rohrbaugh. She cannot easily handle the 9mm and pretty much wants nothing to do with firing it. So, I was wondering if any of your wives have fired the 380 and what thier impressions were?

Chief, I have sold some of the K380's to woman customers and they have reported no problem with recoil. Ask birdman on this forum about the difference between the R9 and K380 as he has both.  Tom

Chief.  Keep kicking the idea around.  You'll talk yourself into it.  Although, I haven't shot mine yet, I look forward in doing so; and now the new ones will have the Hogue grips.  Excellent!

Chief,  I have both guns,  R-9 and 380.  The recoil on the 380 is soft compared to the R-9.  My wife and  my girls that shoot , Love the 380.  Only my 19 yeaar old daughter will shoot the R-9.  But she is strong like bull.  Dan

Chief, as Tom Watson said in an earlier post, I have both the .380 and the 9mm. As I have no wife, and my daughter lives in South America, I can only give you my impressions. The 9mm is a wonderful self defense weapon, and fulfills it's role perfectly. The .380 is fun to shoot! I take both when I go shooting, fire my 3or4 magazines of 9mm then grab the .380 and have some fun. It truly is a joy to shoot! I admit to being somewhat prejudiced in favor of the .380 as I own 6 of them. Nothing excessive 'bout me. Anyway, for what it is worth, I highly recommend the .380 for your wife and daughters they'll love it.    Gene
