Putting Things in Perspective

Antares is a red supergiant star in our own galaxy, the Milky Way, and is more than 600 light years away from our solar system.

And now . . . here is an ultra deep field infrared photograph taken by the Hubble Telescope of countless galaxies billions of light-years away.

The R9 really looks small.
