I have had Navman, Garmin, Magellan, and a couple others that are no longer made.
So far I have been happiest with the Garmin maps and operating system.

I use the Garmin Nuvi 350. I travel often and find it super accurate. It is great for finding restraunts and such too. I like this model because if it's size. It fits in my pocket when I go into the hotel from the car. I recommend looking at the bean bag dash mount. The suction cups stick well to the car windshield on the windshield mount, but I transfer this unit from car to car often and prefer the bean bag.

I hope this helps.
Respectfully,
