Shot Show House Call
« on: January 10, 2007, 09:03:43 PM »
Yesterday, I had a "Private" Shot Show by Eric Rohrbaugh, in the comfort of my home.  :)

I took him by our local gun shop to introduce him to the owner and staff.
That made a BIG impression.  ;D

We had lunch at the HARBOR SIDE Restaurant and Lounge in Winter Haven.

Later in the day, I looked over the entire Shot Show display of Rohrbaugh's new products and finishes.  We spent the rest of the day visiting and just talking at my home.  The evening was topped off with a nice Dinner,  prepared by my Wife and older Son.

Mr. Hedley:

Aren't you going to attend the SHOT show?  I thought with it being so close (to both of us), it would be a good opportunity to see a lot of folks and displays.

Great story, RJ.  Thanks for sharing.

I remember seeing a picture of your holster at the Rohrbaugh factory.  They do know quality.

When I first investigated the R9, it was shown with your holster.  I think that combination made a very attractive package.  The image had a strong influence on me.

The last Shot Show I attend convinced me my legs weren't what they were.  I have difficulties at a normal show.

Have fun for me, and try to keep the forum up to speed on some of the neat things you will surely see..

Great report!  I would love to have been there.  (I'd gladly have sprung for the Harbor Side tab just for the privilege of listening to the conversation.)  8)

Shot Show House Call...

>>RJ...

Now I'm really feeling hurt...  I've been coming down your way every year since 1991 for the National Reptile Breeders Expo, put on by our mutual buddy Wayne Hill, and NEVER ONCE have you shown any interest in a private viewing of my Chondro Coalition Designer Snake Exhibit **sniff**.  And about that getting too old to wonder about...  Well...Wayne now uses those two wheel whirly gigs (can't remember what they are called) for he and his staff to get around...and I'm SURE he would make one available for YOU...!  I mean, you are YOU, after all, and Wayne knows that.

So please think it over - Lord willing I will be down your way again next August...and I  would love to meet you in person...and it would be my honor to feed you up at a local cow chow place (no fish for me, please).

That all said - I too am thrilled and envious of your opportunity to spend the day with Eric...!  He is quite the gentleman, and I'm sure he was thrilled to hang out with you on your home turf.  My hats off to both of you.  And I will be in touch with you about my pending visit as we get closer to summer - LOL...!...TW<<

Hi Trooper

You will be welcome, but NO snakes !  ;D

We can visit Wayne on the way to the Harbor Side,  why heck, He can come along.   He likes Popeyes Chicken. We might grab a Tub of that and go sit by the lake..
