Gun will not fire without an ugly watch

Seems like Colt developed on of these during the clinton administration as a demo project for smart gun technology.  The electronics could not survive the recoil of a 9mm pistol (the test gun).

Now if the watch were a Panerai....hmmm

Yep!  I do like the Panerai PAM 108 D AMG Cronograph, 40mm Titanium, Special Edition, Automatic.  Homage to the Mercedes AMG.  Excellent.  It's a keeper.

Oh and one other thing..and I can here it now (in Oakland)..."Is that a Gizmodo watch?..it is?, cool, now give me your gun and the watch!...and give me that nice ring while your at it!"

This is a case where you can't let the bad guy ask any questions!  Shoot first and hope you have the watch or ring activated.  Oh!  And hope either has good batteries.

The next step will probably be some microchip implanted somewhere in the body -- a chip which only the "chosen few" will be able to obtain . . . politicians, the rich and famous, and their body guards, of course.  

Or could be, like your cell phone,  just talk to your gun.  You now tell your phone to "Call ......."  Tell your gun, "Shoot".  Hut oh!  What if you have to sneeze or cough when you should be saying "shoot".  Oh well, the bugs aren't worked out yet.

I have a better idea.....how abut a watch that won't keep time unless you have it near your gun?

Or a car that won't drive unless you have a gun inside?
