Holster Art for a SIG P226

As some of you may know, I make holsters for more than 60 different guns (and growing).  Here's a couple of pics of a recent holster for a SIG P226:





I also have the ability now to laser engrave designs/logos onto the holsters.  The eagle in this instance was handtooled.  I apologize that it's a little hard to see - being black on black.

Explain for me the difference of a laser engraved holster and a handtooled one--please?

The basic difference between hand tooled and laser engraved is how the art/design is applied on the leather.  Hand tooled is achieved using a variety of "tools/stamps" to give the appearance you want.  Laser engraved is done with the use of a laser in the application of the design.  Here's a sample of both on the same item:



You can achieve much greater detail with the laser, especially on a smaller scale, than you can with hand tooling.  I've taken business cards and applied that same style/size onto leather, while maintaining the clarity.  

The laser can engrave onto a variety of materials - leather, wood, some metals, glass, and a host of others.

I have had the pleasure of seeing this holster in person.  It is striking -- without being "over done."  The black on black tooling looks great.

I can make just about any type of holster and/or accessory that a person might need for the R9's.  I'm in the process of changing the belt style of holsters to the one shown above and this one, which is a clip-on style:



Both styles will be available also in an IWB choice, as well as with or without a retention strap.  And, of course, I also offer exotic leathers/skins.

Thanks for the compliment.  With respect to the laser - I can laser onto most plastics, wood, some metals, a variety of leather (veg tanned, oil tanned, chrome tanned), and glass.  One of my goals with the machine is to offer trophies/awards for shooting events.

Only got this this morning - feast your eyes - again!!  What a superb piece of work this is .... I am honored to be knowing so many great holster makers.

As Kevin found - slightly difficult to get all the eagle showing fully because head is on the curve but - here we have the rig in all its glory, complete with ''resident''!!  Buck Mayo thrown in for extra window dressing!

One pic shows rig and gun pretty much as would be on a belt (yet to take a shot actually on belt) - observe the nice generous cant, something I like a lot.  The other two shots help to appreciate more of the fine tooling.
