Have some critical vehicle repairs to make and these unfortunately need to sell.
Farmingdale R9S. Bought it approximately 20 months ago from another forum member. Has been duracoated due to slight spots on frame under grips. Spots were on the frame when I purchased it from previous owner. Comes with a rare set of custom wood grips (afzelia burl) we used to make/offer. Also comes with 3 mags, two with Yankee's finger extensions, and takedown tool. Will throw in a Double-Duty holster (can be worn OWB or used as a pocket holster). Have original box. However, it is in my storage unit in FL and I'm in KY currently. Will throw in a gun rug, which is covered with elephant trunk in lieu of. I do not have the blue cf grips, as they were sold to another forum member. I would estimate approximately 175-200 rounds have been fired through it.
Price is $850/shipped.

S&W 442 w/C.T. 405 grip. Is approximately 18 months old, and has had approximately 45-50 rounds put through it. Have original box. However, it is in my storage unit in FL and I'm in KY currently. Will throw in a gun rug, which is covered with Springbok (exotic hair on hide skin) in lieu of.
Price is $550/shipped.

I had the pleasure of seeing that R9 "up close and personal" when I met Kevin a year or so ago. It looks as good now as it did then.
Congratulations!

Why on earth did they stop making those grips?

Kevin may answer you directly, but woodworking was not this main line. The grips are actually not that easy to make, and you have to be very careful with your material choices because the R-9 grips take a lot of stress. I just don't think there was enough demand at the time to really make it worthwhile for what he could charge.
I have one of the few sets out there on my R-9 Elite.
