Do you think this was the factory listing those?  They look like the shot show guns, I will have to check the S/Ns when I am back on my puter.

I contacted VZ about those blue cf grips and the girl that answered the phone was totally clueless, after a long wait she returned and said you would need to contact Rohrbaugh about them. ::)

The Tribute on GB shows a SN of 6228 and the envelope with fired cases says 04/16/12.  New listing is:

I cannot wait for my Tribute Edition to arrive! :)
It should be within the next couple of weeks.

I will post some pictures once it arrives.

I ordered one once I saw it.

I reminds me or R343 I sold!

I hope to someday own another silver framed FARMINGDALE!

I was really impressed with these pictures.  The frame looked more silverish than the first one; so now I'm hooked.    :)

I agree. I am really excited to have one on order. It will be kind of cool to have an original silver framed blue gripped R9 and the tribute to it. The VZ blue CFs are really well done and IMHO do look better than the originals. Are R343, R600 or any of the other silver framed farmies still floating around the forum?

I know R343 is now owned by a fellow forum member.

I am not sure about any others.

I wonder how many Tributes they will end up making. I'm guessing they will be more of a special order gun than one that dealers will stock.

I'm thinking the same.  Probably will be very few sold; just guessing, too.  However, that could be a good thing.

Yes, I do not think the number sold will be a high number either. The compact 9mm Market is a rather crowded field now.
Many will have trouble justifying the high cost.

Can someone tell me what the Tribute is going for, when ordered from the factory?  Also does anyone know if they are making the Tribute in the R380??

What a beautiful looking gun!!

Dom.  The list price is $1395 and your dealer can get it for you for $1350, at least,  that's the quote my dealer gave me last week; and no, the Tribute is not made in the .380.  I agree, one beautiful pistol, for sure.

What would be the difference between a tribute and getting a regular R9 with the NP3 coating from Robar?   Minus the Tribute being a more "rare" piece to own, would one hold up any better or be more durable than the other?

The Tribute is an R9 with the silver frame and VZ CF grips, and no NP3 coating.  The R9 with NP3 coating has the internals and external parts coated with the exception of a few parts.  This finish makes cleanup very easy and helps, in most cases, firing many different brands of ammo.  The Tribute, however, is one beautiful pistol, as stated above.
