Starting bid $1000 with no reserve! No relation to seller, just too much free time on the auction sites.

I missed the s on the slide.
Very observant! :)

Nice. Buy the R9 and turn around and sell the Blue CF grips for $300+; they will definitely sell.

Or do the opposite and get a set of Blue CFs for free.

It would be a shame to see such an early rare gun (s on slide) separated from the blue CFs though

Some folks don't like the Blue CF's as maybe this owner didn't and yep, it would be terrible to seperate the two. I, though, like the Blues. If the buyer buys the R9s and doesn't want the Blues, give me a hollar. :)

To me the pistol looks odd with the black grips, it would be a travesty to seperate the blues from a Farmie R9s. They are made for each other.

I like those Blues! :)

When the guns originally came out and there was no option other than blue grips I can see people who didnt like them changing them out for black grips. But whoever buys this one will likely end up paying a premium over other lesser priced black gripped guns specifically to get the blue grips/Farmingdale combo. It is a soft market though so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Looks like it sold for $1275 shipped. Did a forum member win it?

I checked it earlier today as well and was wondering the same thing. A very good buy in my opinion.

There were only 5 bids on it. Seems like a fair price. Looks like the the market is adjusting itself getting more realistic. Especially now that the pocket carry sized 9mm market is getting quite crowded by some major players. The Rohrbaugh exclusivity in the market is not what it used to be.

A good price, indeed!

Yes, this PUP lives at my house now, in fact it is my EDC. Upon its arrival I properly restored back it to its original beauty by putting the Blue CF Grips back on it!

Congrats Will; excellent looking Farmingdale with those Blues! :)
-
Will good buy and for a fair price. :)

It looks great with the Blue CF grips on it.
Congratulations and enjoy it! :)

Thanks guys! I am thrilled to have it and to have something a little unique (with the "s" on the slide), etc.

Will great buy as I rarely see these for sale. It is interesting to look at the various R Farmies and see which ended up with an s on the slide. For example there are guns in the R1XX range that do not have it but yours in the R4XX has it. I know they hand fit the slides to the frames so yours must have been a good fit with one of the last remaining early slides. A very cool gun to have for sure. Enjoy
