Went looking for glove box gun yesterday.....they had a Kahr CW9 on sale for $329 ;D.....ran 150 rounds through it with no problems...manual says to round 200 rounds before pistol to be considered reliable..........always a good idea.....was available in the same size in a 40 cal...after shooting....glad I got the 9mm..............should be a nice addition to the glove box ;)..long trigger reset

Does sound like a good buy.

My only comment is...how small is your glovebox?   ;)   I thought the purpose of such a gun was to provide more firepower than what you might normally have on you (and perhpas to arm an appropriate passenger).  Since size is not an issue, what about a Glock 19 sized gun?

Maybe I am thinking of a "truck gun."   ;D

Truck gun would be a stage coach double 12 gauge in the window rack... ;).....the gun is going in my wife's glove box......smaller hands... ;D

Sounds like a good plan.  My wife has had some health issues and arthritic hands.  She has an S&W 642 w/crimson trace for bedside/home, but I bought her a Beretta Bobcat (.22) for carry.  She has trouble racking the slide on auto's, but can flip the barrel and load the first round that way.  Better than nothing!
Word to the wise:  I've been told that you should know that anything much more powerful than a .38 will likely deafen you if fired in a car.  Have not, thank goodness, had to test that theory!

S&W 642 w/crimson trace is one of the best carry guns available............especially for someones  first carry gun...................most  forum members have multiple carry guns as you know........S&W 642 w/ crimson trace are the first words out of my mouth when asked for a gun recommendation.....I carry one myself at times .............still love the early S&W model 60 :-* ..My wife likes the S&W model 63 22LR.....she can't rack the slide on the Kahr....but she won't have too...........
