Title: story of interest
Post by: eye_spy on October 01, 2011, 10:04:30 PM
I was out today in the woods with my wife and 11 month old daughter for a quit walk during a break in the rain.

I usually carry a Kimber ultra cdp 2 and r9 is a ny reload.  Today I just wanted to go light as I carried my daughter, so I had my r 9 only.

We encountered a raccoon that was aggressive and likely rabbid. It actually began a charge. I fired 2 rounds and missed, the 3rd made contact and ended the issue. I write this as we just got home from the er because my wife and I were concerned about our daughters hearing as she was so close to the discharge. She cheked out fine and all is ok.

She just went to bed and before cleaning and reloading the r9, I thought I would share this as a reminder to always have one.

I am still a bit shaken.
