Title: The Early, Early Farmingdale, #127, Pictures
Post by: kjtrains on August 30, 2010, 11:43:36 AM
The owner of the Farmingdale #127 is sending pictures tomorrow.  Had a long conversation with him today and they could get their license sooner; 2-3 weeks was the long version of the wait.

Anyway, getting closer!    :)

"they could get their license sooner"

Just kinda wondering what that means?

The fellow he is buying it from is opening a gunshop in the next week or two depending on when he gets his FFL license I think.

That's right.  He's helping to open a new gun store and he wants the transaction to go through the new store and the long version of the wait for the license is 2-3 weeks; they could get the license sooner then they think; talked about the gun store and the license in the other thread.

We talk in so many different threads about the "same" things!!
I mentioned in the "other" thread that I understood what you meant in this thread!! ;D ;)

Yep.  I saw that too late.  Thought it would be better to start the 127's own thread as pictures will be coming.    ;D

The pictures of the Rohrbaugh #127.  One happy camper!    :D  Oh!  As you can see, it's the R9; no sights and that's fine with me!

That is one great find!
Is this destined to be a safe queen?
Of course this brings back memories when I ordered my first R9.
Congrats.

Monday is now here, and so is the #127.  Just picked it up and it is pristine; no marks anywhere.  A long wait has now ended.

Well, now, another adventure begins!

Congratulations, KJ! (Being a firm believer in "O'Brian's Law,"  I've waited until now to express that sentiment.) Persistence pays.

"O'Brian's Law" provides that "Murphy's Law" is flawed by irrational exuberance.

Thanks, Richard.  I felt like an early one would come along one day, just didn't know when or how long it would take; and to be in such pristine condition.  Still has the warning tag in the box, not even bent, and one mag has never been used with the other being as new.

Hey KJ, I know a guy who can change the serial # to 141 and then you could really  take  Corey to the bank!

These "friends" would be carrying badges and tend not to smile very much when they inquired about the alteration of a serial number.  ;)

I do hope everyone knows that I brought it up in pure silliness.

I do know some manufacturers and a weaponsmith that have all told me what a "pita" it is to do even leagally.  It is like it sitll looked at with distrust.
