Title: Oil or grease
Post by: nase on March 26, 2010, 02:40:55 PM
Just curious what you folks use to lube your Rohrbaughs. I've always just used Hoppe's #9 on all my pistols without problems... but I recently bought a Sig, and it recommends using TW25B grease. And having used the grease, I can say that I am a fan. Makes the action noticeably smoother. Anybody out there have opinions?

I use Ballistol and it works excellent on the R9 and have never used grease on it.  Not saying that grease is not good, just like the Ballistol;  makes things slick.

I use Strike Hold, CLP but don't need much with the Robar finish.

I tried grease, but had problems with my pup.  I then went to Hoppe's Elite gun oil, as I use it on my other guns.  Worked great.

I've started trying dry lubricants, Hornady One Shot and will be getting some Ballistol.

I think you will like the Ballistol.  As I stated above, makes things slick.
