This may be the wrong forum for this question, but I've been scanning the internet for a Rohrbaugh R9 for weeks. Either model in 9mm will be fine! I've checked all the dealers listed by Rohrbaugh on their website, but no luck so far. Any advice on where I can purchase one?
thanks, Don

See Tom Watson, Irish Guard Firearms, a member of this forum.
He must be taking an afternoon nap or you would have already
heard from him.

I would buy a new one from an authorized dealer like Tom.
Other than making it very pleasant your new gun warranty
will be intact. That is very important.

What Tracker said. Tom Watson ("theirishguard"), whose banner advertisement should be at the top of this page, is a "gentleman and scholar" who does business the way it should be done. He can coordinate the transaction between the factory and your local FFL.

Thanks everyone, especially Deercop! I found a new Stealth for sale on Guns America; this model would have been my first choice! Haven't heard from the seller yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
-
Hey, a Farmingdale with blue CF grips!

Bummer! Apparently the seller didn't have one in stock. So, I sent Tom a message and maybe he can help; sure hope so. Thanks again guys,
Don

You might try trading for one. I just traded a Farmingdale model for a very good firearm to use for home defense. This is the R9S I retired to my safe soon after buying as an investment. Some here thought the silver framed Farmingdale models may become a collectors item in the future because relatively few were made.
I decided I needed a home defense weapon more than a Rohrbaugh in the safe. Have to say I felt a little sad when this Rohrbaugh was gone but would have felt much sadder had I sold it.
You may find someone willing to trade one rather than selling one. Just a thought.

Concur with Murray that one tone Farmingdale is very collectable and is my choice for uber Rohrbaugh.
Dittos to those who endorse Tom Watson; The Irish Guard.

Don, you are on the order. Tom
-
Thanks Tom! These Forum guys were right, you are the man to contact for a Rohrbaugh firearm! ;D

If I haven't done so, welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on getting an order for an R9. You'll now be counting the days till it arrives. :) :)

Are you a dealer? I am curious because R9 owners usually don't part with their guns.
-
ACP. I recall, you did; but you did say usually.
-
Correct, but I sold it to help finance a Stealth that was already in play with Tom Watson. I then bought the CF grip early gun on gunbroker, so I own two R9s at the present time.
-
With due respect, I recall you sold an early Farmingdale as you've mentioned several times. Anyway, glad you now have two. I'd have two if I can find an early mint, never fired, with CF grips, blue or black with sights, Farmingdale. Don't want much; but if I'm wanting, I can want for the rarest.
Maybe someone will read this and give me a call. Right, I know that will happen. However.................stranger things have happened.
-
Again, correct. I had a Farmingdale one tone gun (in 300 S/N range) that I sold two years ago. That is the one that got away that I miss the most.
-
Since I've learned about the Farmingdale, I/ve been searching.
-
You are not alone. Selling my Farmingdale gun was not one of my great moments. The only mitigating factor is that when I sold my Farmingdale, to buy a vintage Winchester, I was unaware that CF grips and one tone frame/slide would no longer be available.
-
Do you still have the Winchester?
-
No. It was a beauty, though. It was a model 55, with half magazine, deluxe wood in 25-35 caliber.
The good news is that I made money on the transaction.
-
It is good to make a profit.
-
Yeah; profit is good. However, you can probably tell from my posts that I buy and sell a lot. Not a problem when you are making money or heading toward something you reallly want. But there are too many times when I wish I had not sold a gun and lived to regret it. My early Farmingdale R9, vintage Colt .38 Super in orginal box, ASP.....the list goes on.

My FFL dealer called today from Albuquerque and said my new Stealth R9 had been delivered. I'll pick it up Monday. I'm excited ;D Thanks again Mr. Tom --- you are a saint and a helluva nice fellow!

Don, Great to hear that your local dealer got the pup on time. Give the little pup a pat for me. Enjoy the Stealth it'll keep you safe. Thanks very much for your business. Tom
