It started off okay but one comment in particular kind of ticked me off so I posted a response.

Excellent response. Well said.

FireBreather:
Excellent response indeed! Thanks for setting the record straight over there.
-
That seems to have stopped them cold, Firebreather!
-
Firebreather well said. There will always be folks who put down things that they don't have or know anything about.
I figured that the few problems would be blowen out of proportion.

I notice a few of us added to the thread. :) Thanks for the heads-up, Firebreather - good looking-out!
Again and again with the "sour grapes" on these Rohrbaughs. I am surprised at the hostility they attract.
I'm also surprised at the boutique quality that the Bros. Rohrbaugh can turn out for what really amounts to a bargain price. I mean, my wife has shoes that cost more than my R9s (and don't get me started on her pocketbooks!), but just look at the engineering and high-quality productionwork that goes into the Rohrbaugh pistol. Even Gina is amazed when she compares it to other guns, and she doesn't even know all that much about them.
Quality shines through, once again. :)
-
Dann - glad you caught that - indeed - good response.
I added 2c while there too. Hardly get time to check TFL anymore these days!
-
Nice work guys!
-
Erich, I told my wife that the Rohrbaugh was heirloom quality. That was the magic word to keep her happy about buying another pistol.
And it's also the truth about the fine quality and workmanship.

That's how my wife got me to be okay with those Chanel purses she keeps buying! ;D

Erich and Bill:
It was established early on in our courtship that my wife's junk is stuff but my stuff is junk. :o

LOL :D

FireBreather01, Way to set the record straight. Thanks to all who responded. It amazes me how human nature tends to focus so intently on the little things instead of looking at the big picture. Dan

I stopped reading & posting on TFL a few months back. There was a thread on [an unnamed firearm]. I weighed in with my travails on the previous model & how it was the only gun I ever sold because I couldn't get it to work. Got worked over pretty good by someone who has never carried a gun.
That opened my eyes to the fact not all forums are created equal. Very few come even close to this Rohrbaugh Forum. ;D
So when FTL serves up a whole vinyard of sour grapes, I just consider the source.

Could be, the price culls a lot of riff-raff here; not to be
snooty, of course.

Lord have mercy, do I ever agree with that!
I used to frequent a certain message board, which shall remain nameless. When I recently returned to that board to check it out, I found to my dismay that it had been taken over by a bunch of self-aggrandizing, self-stroking "wannabes" who apparently had more testosterone than they could constructively channel. I logged out without posting, thankful that this Forum is still free of such drivel.
Thank you, Gator, for running such a "taught ship."

A little bit OT, but here's a "classy act" and a classy site: http://www.louderthanwords.us/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2494
Cheers!

Guys,
Just caught this.. :o
A bit late, but responded as I would have if I would have seen it there.. ;D
As we know-the problems are few but get discussed a lot...

I registered on The Firing Line forum so I could also try to correct the misconception about Rohrbaugh pistols having more problems than other pistols. So I added my story of satisfaction to my other Rohrbaugh brothers' comments.
