Hey Gang, I don't believe I've heard any reactions here to the very postivie article on Rohrbaughs that is in the current issue of Combat Handguns. It even has a pic of the Rohrbaugh on its cover, along with another pistol. The issue has been out for a few days now. Anybody else notice it? ;D

>>Yep... I picked up a copy last week enjoyed the read. Can't say that I learned anything NEW from it...but it was informative and as I recall it profiled the R9 as a true self defense pocket gun - perhaps more so than some of the earlier reports. Possibly this article will reach a section of the shooting community which other reports did not (??)...?...TW<<

Saw it and thought it was a good one..... 8)

Yet to find a copy! >:(

Well, aside from a gramatical error (repeated twice), a typo (repeated twice), a fact error (repeated twice), and an inconsistency... I thought it was pretty good.
Interestingly, much of the conclusions and opinions sounded like something I vaguely recall reading, or perhaps writing, before... ;D Maybe Mr. Pridgen shares the same biases! :P

LOL! I caught the typo on p. 30 where they printed R9S but should have said the "R-nines" but missed the others! We could just say the article is O.K. except for the mistakes, but that leaves a whole lot of wiggle room. Anyway, when I read the article I thought "this guy is on the right track." ;D

Yes, it was a good review -- I just think his editors let him down a bit.

I'd like to comment on this if I may, and I may be way off .
It has been my experiance with articles of any type that there are inconsitencies with the facts. The more facts about a certain article that you have, the more you see how the article is just not spot on.
For instance this article about the R9s', people here on the forum have more facts than the gunscripe.
I see this in local newspapers especially. If I am involved in a certain event, then read about it in the paper, it never seems factual.
Of corse most times the reporter writes what he is told.
Hey, I just wanted to throw this opinion of mine out there.
I always tell my students to read these articles with a grain of salt.
