Following TW's comments re pics to show recoil assembly stages .... I have done an animation to try and further clarify things for folks. In fact, it is referred to in other pages on the FAQ site but perhaps this will prove a useful reminder to those not quite clear. Let me know if you think it works ... I intend to probably try and refine it a bit more but time as ever is never in sufficient quantity!

THAT couldn't be more clear !!

That RJ is a complement - thank you. :)
It is playing looped right now - I will when time probably add ''stop'', ''pause'' and ''stop'' buttons - might help avoid coming in part ways thru!
-
>>Chris - GREAT job with the animation...! You are truely the master of many talents...!!! And yes, even I can understand how things work properly after looking at the loop...TW<<

Outstanding!!!
BTW...you have too much time on your hands
-
Oh, so that's how it's done. ;D Just kidding. Outstanding job Chris!

Chris:
That is amazing! How in the world did you do that?

Very nice!

Well - after 24 hours of total stress - my main PC having suffered a fried mother board! Now limping along on a laptop, which is sorta networked to an old machine with my old hard drives running ... enough, that's boring!
Time to drop in anyways ... tho it'll be a while before I feel remotely back to ''puter normal''!
Thx for comments - It's a Flash animation .... and I intended to add a start and stop button but that won't happen now for a bit! Realized that looping the play means folks come in other than beginning.
As long as it helps a bit anyways ....

That's a great animation job and should clear it up for ANYONE who was still uncertain about it.
Frankly though, I'm not sure why there was so much confusion about this to begin with - or was there? I assume there was...
1911 springs are finished on one end only and must be installed in only one direction, so it's not like this is unique to the Rohrbaugh.
Anyway, this website is rare in that the quality of information provided is exceptional and your animation is just another example of that.
Keep it up!!
