I saw Buster Crabbe in a downtown Philadelphia hotel at 6 a.m. in the '70s. He was just sitting in a foyer between the street and the lobby staring into space. I had seen him on film so many times that it was a bit disarming to see him there. There was no doubt that it was he.

Roy Rogers was in our home town on a Saturday morning at the Terrace Theater promoting his last movie Mackintosh & T.J. in 1975, stayed about an hour; sang Tumbling Tumbleweeds and a few more; then went on to the next town; just good ole days!

Here are two of my favorite singers in one place: Carthage, Texas.
Tex Ritter of "High Noon" fame and Jim Reeves, "He'll Have to Go."
