Title: Something Different
Post by: yankee2500 on October 09, 2010, 11:24:29 PM
A guy on the local forum has one of these for sale. I have never seen one before or heard of them. Interesting concept.

Here are a couple of links with info.

Well they do say "Flat Cylinder" if that makes it any better. Maybe they thought if it was called anything else some people would have trouble loading it. ;D ;D

Well the Mateba failed, the only thing that appears different is the flat cyl.  Knowing Chiappa, it will be priced cheaper.

But beware, Chiappa has a very bad reputation in the Cowboy world with their 1873 replicas with horid actions and luring unsuspected buyers in with great prices.  Even the top Cowboy Smiths seem to can not turn one into a true "race gun" that the gamers need.
